Yes, The Hempton’s CBD patches are legal in the UK and many other countries as they contain 0%THC. If you are thinking of travelling abroad with our products, please check the legal status of CBD in the country you are travelling too.
SHOULD I STILL TAKE OTHER MEDICATIONS?
The Hempton’s CBD patches are not intended for you to stop taking other medications. Please discuss any health concerns your doctor.
CBD is also known to interact with several medications. Before you start using CBD, discuss it with your doctor to ensure your safety and avoid potentially harmful interactions.
This is especially important if you take medications or supplements that come with a “grapefruit warning.” Both grapefruit and CBD interfere with cytochromes P450 (CYPs), a group of enzymes that are important to drug metabolism.
DOES CBD HAVE SIDE EFFECTS?
According to a World Health Organisation (WHO) report, naturally occurring CBD is safe, well tolerated in humans and is not associated with any negative public health effects. CBD is generally well tolerated and considered safe, however some people may experience side effects.
Side effects noted in studies include:
- Drowsiness
- Diarrhoea
- Changes in appetite and weight

The safety and effectiveness of our products is our top most priority, which is why testing occurs at all stages, including: soil testing during cultivation heavy metal testing, microbial and pesticide testing for harvested hemp plants residual solvent, microbial, mycotoxin and cannabinoid profile testing after extraction batch testing of cannabinoid profile for final products.

WHAT ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY?
We have an approach of minimal impact on the environment. Our patches are totally biodegradable and our patch packaging and postage packaging is recyclable. Whats more we use tissue paper and stickers which have been FSC certified, use soy based inks and acid free paper, all of which you can learn more about below.
FSC Certified
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifies that the paper products that make up our printed tissue paper are sourced from a forest and supply chain that is managed responsibly and sustainably. FSC forest management standards are developed at an international level, and are then adapted to individual countries’ legal, social, and geographical settings, through national standards.
Acid Free Paper
Our personalised tissue is made from cellulose fiber where the active acid pulp is eliminated during processing. It is also lignin and sulphur-free, meaning that our ink won’t transfer from the tissue and the paper won’t leave behind any of these chemicals when decomposing.
Soy-based Inks
Soy inks are an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based inks, made from soybeans, a renewable resource. While soy inks are slower to dry than many inks, the process produces more vibrant colours as well as having the added benefit of not leaving behind petroleum-based products when decomposing. Finally, soy inks have low levels of VOCs, reducing air pollution during the drying process.
