We believe womxn should be able to talk bluntly about the issues that affect them, and the lifestyle choices that help them. We welcome an openness to formerly secretive, female-centric topics such as periods, hormone related moods change, sleep difficulties, menopause, sexual health, vaginal dryness. We aim to gaslight some of the pernicious myths such as vaginas are in a constant state of near-catastrophe and need cleaning and repair, and give a platform to address gender, health and pain gaps.

There’s a dirty little secret in health care that womxn’s health doesn’t get the attention it deserves, and many womxn have unmet health care needs. It’s no accident that the word “hysteria” originates from the Greek word for “uterus”, we often wonder what impact that has on the inequalities that exist today. The gender, health and pain gap are real. At The Hempton, we believe womxn’s health should be discussed without any shame or assumptions. Stigma should be removed and replaced with empowerment. Many womxn suffer in silence about the impact these issues are having on their quality of life, and this is having a negative impact not just on womxn, but on the wider community.

We need to upgrade our approach to the menopause, after all, it’s as inevitable as tax or death. Understand having a vagina is not what qualifies you as a “woman”, it’s how you feel on the inside. Clitoris, vulva and vagina are not vulgar words, it’s great to talk about our anatomy. Finally acknowledge that womxn’s rights are human rights.

We will explore the research that supports CBD use and hormone health. If there is a topic you would like us to write about or an experience you would like to share, please get in touch.

Let’s be the generation of womxn who support womxn.
